Can anybody tell me where the earth lead go's on steering rack. I cant get the indicators working or the horn .I see there is a earth strap listed in the Rimmer book but not avalilable.It must be eas

go On all the Spitfires I've looked at and worked on so far, the earth strap connects to the top bolt/plug on the steering rack where the steering shaft enters. -Vegaman Dan _________________________

I just rebuuilt my entire front end, including the rack. On my '67 Mk.3, the earth straps are held in place by the grease plug just behind where the pinion mates to the steering column. Brian

The turn signals do not ground through the steering column, though the horn does. Must be multiple problems. There are about 9 connectors between the column and main harness for the turn signals, ho
