- How do the foil strips that go on the brack pads work? They have adhesive on both sides, and it seems that the piston would tear it up after a few brake applications. Mine squeal badly at low speed,

- I assume you are talking about after market anti squeal pads? There are supposed to be anti squeal shims on a Spitfire,they get coated with a special grease and fit between the piston and Brakepad.T
