- Aft'noon all, Try loosening the engine mounting nuts that fit to the front engine plate, these are on a slot so you may be able to push the engine back a little bit to compensate for the gap. Failing

- The drive shaft is not a big problem... The other end of the shaft at the diffy has a spline that slides in and out. It will compensate for the gap, if it doesn't seem to want to go you might want to
