- I just looked at my door handles. ( I have them off while the Spitfire is being repainted). The nylon push rod does end in a half circle and there is a circlip holding the spring in place on the push

- I made the mistake of buying one of the cheaper pop rivet tools that handled two sizes of rivet stems. The rivets I got for the snaps were thinner stems, so I ended up borrowing a better rivet tool.
