I am fabricating a vacuum reservoir tank to aid my vacuum windshield wipers. Can anyone tell me if I need to install a check valve to prevent the vacuum stored being drawn back into the intake manif

Will this make your wipers swipe at a more even pace. I notice that mine travel intermittently depending on the motors tach speed. Or when shifting gears they tend to travel at will. They still work

Steven, If you're interested, I have a resevoir for sale...I put it in my truck 2 years ago..worked well..I've since put an electric motor in.......I bought the resevoir at a parts house for $45.00.

I tried using a vacuum can(looks like a 2 quart juice tin) I found at a wrecking yard, after I was told this would work. Well it didn't seem to help very much. Maybe a check valve would help. I found
