The last time I had the head off I compared the steam holes in the gasket, this time I used a Victor (NAPA), to the head, and the old gasket, a Fel-Pro. The holes line up with the gasket and it looks

How quickly did your GS400 overheat, and were there bubbles in the radiator? I had new seats and valves installed after the head was magnafluxed the first time. The same shop did it again when I took

No need to order. A correct 235 gasket will not have the coolant holes (affectionately referred to as steam holes) in between the siamesed cylinders. The 261 gasket, as will the block, will have the
