- Double or triple the clutch free play before you do major surgery. Define free play as only return spring resistance. How about removing return spring and adjusting pedal so it drops 2" from its own

- It's probably a 2 ton, series 6000. See if it has a Hydrovac booster bolted to frame under right cab side. that should give you good braking. You should hit 50 mph, but it takes a while to get up to

- You beter look elsewhere for your problem. Did you do a compression test and fuel pump test for pressure and volume? Is there rust in the fuel line/tank? Do you have new points, plugs, wires, etc? 4

- I think you have the original1953 flywheel on your 1957 engine. If the engine came out of a car it was probably an automatic. If flywheel has 9 bolt holes you should get the larger clutch. If only 6
