With regard to California smog regulations on bringing a "79" M G into this state, the car should be exempt from Smog testing. You should also know that cars coming into California are taxed on the

I have two 1976 MGBs and they are both required to be smogged. I just checked the CA DMV and cars 1975 or older do not require a smog. A 1979 would have to pass the California smog test. "all smog st

To be licensed in CA, an out of state car needs to be smogged. After-market cats are not too expensive; check with Gary at A1A Muffler on East Todd. Rail, pump and whatever else can be found used. Ch
