On the fuel sending unit on a TD and A, does the unit have a seal to keep the gas from getting into the variable resistor? My unit is dripping out the back plate. Should gas even be in there? Mike //

Yes, fuel is normally in there. Never seen a problem. Use Permatex Aviation sealer to seal the sender after making sure the surface of the tank and sender are clean and straight. Regards, Lew Palmer

There is no variable resistor in the TD's unit. It's just a switch that closes when the float drops. Is your unit leaking at the circular mounting plate, or at the cover over the switch box? There a
