It's a strange British thread that you will never find in North American hardware stores. Buy a nylon wing nut instead. Works wonderfully and you don't have to order it from the Big 3. Lonn

I had one missing as well, and the bracket, for the larger speedo. I made the bracket and I seem to remember that the knurled nut used on the ends of elements for UK transportable electric fires just

On second thoughts, I used the nut described but redrilled and tapped it to 4BA. Checked my roadster (large dials) and V8 (small dials) and the thread is the same. PaulH. of yet, bracket couldn't
