wont work that way... Either the belt will not release properly as it will lock or it will release freely but won't lock in the event of an accident. Don't mess with it just put the bracket back on.

Anyone know where I can find some original Kangol magnetic latch seatbelts? My 68 MGB had some GM seatbelts installed and while at least the letters are right, they look awful. I love the Kangol ones

They're called Torx-head screws or bolts. GM headlight adjusters are the same type -- a T15, IMS. The seat-belt bolts are probably a T30 or a T40. (Haven't looked at one recently.) -- Shel Bercovich
