- Has anyone ever heard of "crush force" being one of the forces holding the bearings in place in the saddles and caps? Are there bad consequences to removing the bearing from the caps after the crank

- Gee, I've removed the main caps on engines of unknown condition to inspect the bearings/crank many times. Torqued them back up and went on if they were still servicable. So I guess the answer is: no
