- If 6 volt batteries are so expensive, why not install two small 12 volt batteries and wire them in parallel ? I do not know if the alternator will be able to keep both charged automatically without

- If you haven't done it, change the fuel filter. If you don't have one, install one of those clear in-line filters. This way you will be able to see what's "trying" to get from the tank to the carb.

- These cars are now so old that most (if not all) have had the brake light switch replaced at least once. Who knows if the installer knew the replacement had to be adjusted.... I would not have known
