- Take a look art the underside. Its most likely that the webbing/diaphragm has given up the ghost. Replacing that may solve your problem, but be aware - you will sit considerably higher, not an asset

- Wire it in - carefully thread the wire through the core and onto the edges of the sensor. Perhaps a bit of overkill, but a LOT of peace-of-mind!
