In my experience, the "high temp" spray paint burns off just like all the others and then you have a rusty *and* splotchy header. I've re-done a couple of cars by wire brushing the header then using

Palo Alto speedometer is great at repairing and calibrating Smiths instruments including MGB speedos. Just had them repair and re-calibrate mine for new wheel/tire set up. They did a fantastic job. T
