- this is news to me. I had a 63 Pontiac Tempest Convertable. 326 v8 motor. It was my first car. I wrung it inside out. broke 5 torsion axles racing. Never had a handling problem.

- since, I believe, the switch is a grounding function and the power is applied to the pump. I would disconnect from the pump and with an ohm meter trace the grounding wire back toward the switch look
