1) Also check the ground connections, neither the front (CB) nor rear light clusters have 'proper' ground connections, they just ground through the bodywork. Tired bulbs can also cause this problem.

I have sprayed a few of the "big knockers" '74-1/2 rubber over-riders and a pair of full rubber bumpers with flat black paint. Rustoleum right out of the 1-qt can works in my gun, but you can thin it
