I'm thinking the problem might be due more to corrosion in the "gap" between the rivet and the terminal, so just tightening them up might be less effective than the soldering method. Of course tight

I would think replacing those studs while you had it all apart would be prudent. Cheap insurance too. Only about $37 from Moss for the stock studs (unless my math is way off...). $164 for the fancy
