I don't recognize those numbers. The Fram spin on for an MGB is PH16A. However, Fram is the only filter I no long use (including those made by Fram such as Quaker State). Andrew 73MGB x 2

I had this problem on my 73 and what an ordeal to solve! In my case it is a bad wiring connection on the back of the dimmer rheostat on the dash. Found it by accident by sticking hand under dash and
