My generator won't charge a dead battery, it has field windings, and unless you put 12volts to the windings, it only puts out 1.5volts. Do use a good battery for checking gens./atls. and save yoursel

My midget ( 71 ) did the same thing ! If you have the guts' you can disassemble the ignition switch, clean it ( the contacts ) strech the springs alittle and reassemble it. Guts are required because

If the cars run, try to move them around enough to keep the rotors and drums from rusting ! watch the Brakes and clutch hydraulics. The motors should keep water out just as well as they keep oil in :
