- Lowering blocks tend to increase wheel hop on hard acceleration. Don't know of any down side to de-arched springs (but that doesn't mean there isn't one). ~Jerry

- MGBs seem to the work best with stiff front and limber rear suspensions. The 3/4" bar with poly bushes, negative camber A-arms, and uprated damper valves is probably your best bet. Forget the 5/8" b

- I have a GM (AC Delco) alternator in my 1967 MGB GT. You want either a 10 SI or 12 SI model (70 to 78 amps), but really, you'd be better off doing the Lucas or Bosch conversion which are just bolt-on
