- You may have a shorted battery, ruining the Alternators. Try swapping a " known good" battery and see if that cures the problem. Good luck...roland

- When I pulled the 79 B engine, I used the valve cover bolts. These were used for several BMC engines as lifting points, although they were fitted with "lifting eyes", these are sold by MOSS. Good luc
