- Absolutely not true! All early SD1s had the mechanical drive, at least until 1980. I suspect that the electronic drive didn't come in until the 1982 intro of the Series 2 cars. All the NAS cars sold

- The electrical speedo drive is interchangeable with the mechanical drive. You can change this while you have the tranny apart. Also, this is the time to do some math re: your rear end ratio and the
