Can anyone point me towards a gear lever knob for an SD1 gearbox (1982 vintage)? It has a 5/16 NC 18 pitch thread and Rimmer etc say they only have later ones. My local 'performance' shops are bewild

I could be wrong, probably am, but isn't it the same transmission as the TR7/8. Could be a different lever though I suppose. Sounds like it may have changed, from your email. Let's see, who has SD1s

It may not be correct for purists (but then again the car isn't exactly stock looking anyway) but I picked up a good-looking shifter knob at a local shop. It comes with a set of generic plastic adapt
