When I was drag racing in the late 50's / early 60's I think I remember reading about a Ford OHV 6 powered Bonneville car called the "punkin seed" possibly owned and/or sponsered by Ells Lohn of ELCO

There is a shop on Long Island that takes Ford 302 V8 heads and welds them up into six cylinder heads. This is the same shop that did the V-16 small block Chevy a few years ago. Old Henry never liked

The "Pumpkin Seed" that I'm aware of was owned by Mickey Thompson. Jim Travis restored it and he and Don Ferguson Jr. entered it last year at Speed Week, powered by an Ardun Flatty. There might have

Bob, I think that those converted Ford OHV heads are intended for the 240/300 Ford 6 with 7 main bearings. I hear that they terrorize the 7 main bearing GMC's and Chevvies............................

The Wee Wee Eel was in dry, spider infested, storage in Torrance with the other Eelco car ( now at the Speedway Museum in Lincoln, NE.) for many years. Eels Lohn raced it with a British Ford engine.
