- Hey Group, Small Block Chevy H20 pump with a V belt turns clockwise where the newer pump with a serpentine belt turns counterclockwise. Yes this could be the problem?

- You should be able to learn your idle speed by just letting the engine run while going through the gears. You could probably do this on jackstands. I do not believe the Snap On MT 2500 can do this f

- Piston slap is caused by too much clearance between the piston skirt and the cylinder wall. Usually present on cold engines with "cam ground" pistons, Pontiac V8s come to mind as they were notorious
