FWIW: the same or similar Aluminum/rubber compound was also used to make the tires for the XB-70, IIRC those are a much larger tire. Aircraft tires might be a good source of tires. as I understand it

Yes and IIRC: a comment was made from the tower on the CB, about just that, during this years Bville finals, while a car was being "picked up" by a frame type trailer at the 7+ mile mark... something

I had no trouble with the cone line that they used at this years finals. gave a well defined way to come & go.. Gave Jon & Nancy a good place to wait for us to pick them up at too with the tow truck.
