The stud that goes in that hole is pretty long! You don't want that hole drilled even the slightest bit offset or at an angle. I'd leave the drilling to a machine shop with proper presses and measur

You only get one shot at making the hole straight, and if it isn't, you'll never get the stud in. I do almost everything on my own when it comes to cars, and this is something that I would consider

I agree with Chris, I do everything I can myself, and sometimes probably even tackle things I shouldn't be doing, but this is one that should be left to someone with the proper experience and tools.

I have seen these at the large equipment rental centers. I have no idea what the rental cost would be but for someone who needs it for a single hole, I would think it would be minimal. Alan

With 75 ft lbs of torque, you definitely don't want to "retap" the hole and loctite it. Maybe with an MGB head maybe (45ft-lbs torque, right?). Besides, loctite only keeps something from unscrewing,
