- I removed mine, undid the pin, and the core of the valve slides right out. -It is slightly cone shaped, and is just a spring pressure fit that makes the seal. -I just very lightly polished the inter

- Don, I restored mine by removing it, disassembling it, polishing the bronze pieces with a buffing wheel, replacing the spring, washer & cotter pin and in now works like new. Richard Bittmann BJ7
