- Hi James, I would suggest that if your healey is still positive ground then the CB equates to +ve and the SW is -ve. If the car has been converted to negative ground then the connections are reversed

- If the coil was originally from a positive ground car, CB would be +. The CB (contact breaker) is the points making a connection to ground which is positive. The SW (ignition switch) lead would be -

- I just finished converting to negative ground as part of the electrics redo. I plugged in the wire from the distributor to the - side of the coil and it seems to work fine. Also put in a geared start
