Rather than trying to patch a hole (which may even be too miniscule to find) just go to your local Ford dealer and get their part number COAZ-9202-B. Saves a lot of trouble. They probably won't under

Drill a hole in each end of the float to get the gas out of the float. The solder the holes shut. Then put the float in hot water and you will see a small stream of bubbles where the leak is. Remove
