- The freshly (3 years ago) rebuild engine in my BJ8 runs (when hot)--20 at idle and ~ 40 at 3000 rpms. I do not worry about it. When i start it the OP poes to 60+ until the engine is hot. tom due

- FWIW, many E-Type owners use the MT 90 because of the syncro-friendly properties. I have it in mine now and will put it in the BJ8 before driving season--either MTL or the 90. since I have three qts

- FWIW, I took a sample of material from the heat shield on my BJ8 and had it analized. It was asbestos. If it isn't flaking and if you don't disturb it, causing it to flake, I wouldn't worry about it.
