You can adjust the overdrive inhibitor switch by adding or removing the washer(s) between the switch and the gearbox case. In your case, it sounds like you need a thinner washer or no washer at all,

On my BJ7, I have two inline fuses. One is on the wire which runs from the headlight switch to the tail lights and dashboard lights. The other one is in the circuit which feeds the overdrive relay. T
