- Ken, My vote would be to final paint after assembly of the external panels is complete. You can then loosen the fender fasteners and slip in the beading. Overspray can be avoided by a meticulous back

- OOPS, I didn't mean for you to tape a "squirt" around the bottom of your car. You couldn't get a hold of one to tape it. It would be easier to tape a SKIRT around the bottom to protect the chassis. Y

- That's what I did with my restoration and there was no problem getting to it. The fender beading tabs are a different story however, you just have to bend them over the best way you can in those are
