Yes, Val VR 1 has enough ZDDP, as does Redline. Maybe my messages are not reaching the list but Amsoil offers many products still with the API SL designation which still has plenty of ZDDP in it. The

As an Amsoil Dealer AND classic sports car owner and racer I can confirm what Dan is saying. There has been extensive research on this topic. You want to buy the oil that is labeled SL NOT SM. Cheers

It's a product that Lucas started making that is an oil additive. The GM EOS is the ZDDP fix. The Lucas is insurance. Hope that helps. Cheers, Gary Ps...This is really much more of an issue on NEWLY
