I pull an 18' Pace with a TR4 plus parts, gas, etc. My tow vehicle is an 01 Suburban with a 5.3 liter gas motor, towing package, oil cooler etc, Going up and down I-5 on the West isn't much of a prob

IMHO, a 22 foot box being towed by a mid-sized pickup/SUV is a really bad idea. It might go OK, but stopping would probably be a nightmare.

My experience says brakes, and also mass is important. One would think a big old Cadillac would have the mass, but if your trailer brakes aren't working properly, the load will push the tow vehicle.

Amen to that ! And don't forget that kinetic energy goes up with the square of speed. Just driving 70 instead of 50 means your brakes have to absorb twice as much heat to get you stopped. Not tried
