I'm putting together another motor and I'm using a late TR6 block (with the recesses for the fire-rings in the head gasket). I want to use a copper head gasket and steel o-rings to get a good seal.

I did not deck the block. At the top of the stroke, the pistons are even with the deck. The block is flat, so no material was removed. To cut down to get rid of the recess, I would have had the pisto
