While I cannot answer on the TR4 in particular, I do have an opinion on the subject...:-} Most of what Triumph did in the brake & fuel dept is somewhat less than satisfactory in a race environment...

In the Spit motor (1147 anyway) You have to put them in through the top. Will not fit in through the bottom. Main bearings get in the way... iii

Actually, I think the difference is not in the alloy, it is in the thickness of the castings. The Lites are just thinner all over. I have a set for my Spit with slicks on them. I like them ALOT, but
