Looks like some good nuts & bolts readin'. Even though this sytem has worked flawlessly for 18years, and the car has never experienced any kind of flames in 40 years, it sure couldn't hurt to upgrade

Coincidentally, I was just cleaning my scatter shield today, it's out of the car along with the trans tunnel. Mine was made by "Trans-Dapt" and looks to be 3/4" thick belted rubber with angled steel
