Check for an intake manifold leak. Spray carb cleaner around the joints, when the rpm change you found your leak. RC

A TR6 engine with a GT6 crank is a GT6 2 liter engine. If you left the TR6 pistons and head as they were you would have a dog. NO compression. RC

On most TR torque tables they give you two torques. Spifire head for example is 45-50 ft.lbs. The 45 is with lube and 50 is dry. I lube all torqued fasteners. The lube will eliminate galling and keep
