My fuel gauge always reads higher than the amount of gas in the tank. I have replaced the sending unit. When I take the unit out of the tank, and let the float go all the way down, the gauge reads 1/

Any chance that your temperature gauge is also on the hot side? If so, then I would suspect the regulator that go's to both instruments has shorted out. If not, then is there any chance someone rewi

I went through that with my 66, you have to take the sending unit out and "adjust" it. it involves bending the float rod, it is a bit of trial and error. took me about a week to get right. Better to
