- There are some parts that it makes no sense to rechrome because you can still buy them new. The front lense is a perfect example. Why pay $20 to rechrome if you can buy it new for $12. DAVE

- The reason I am considering this is because I have come across a different chrome look presented by a local merchant. I believe they add more nickel (or whatever) and it gives the metal a nicer look.

- The platers can't add another metal to the chrome but they might do a thin strike with another metal over the chrome. Or the chrome may be very thin over the nickel and nickel is yellowish compared
