I have a rebuild kit but have not been able to unscrew the two steel nuts (about 1" diameter ) into which the exit tubing screws . First application of PB blaster unsuccessful ...some heat( not much)

I tried everything I could think of to remove them. I finally clamped the MC in a vise with maple wood 'soft jaws' and used a breaker bar. It came apart with out any indication of damage. However, I
