I have a 68 SPL311 witha a 2000 motor and transmission. I noticed it running hot so I checked radiator level was a little low and I have a white milky substance on the bottom of the oil filler cap. P

If his valves are too tight it can give the symptoms he's seeing. BTDT. Check the oil in the carb dashpots for rough idle. Also, regarding the distributor, is he only using the screw/bolt that holds

In my experience if you are a tooth off you couldn't get close to 12* Are you sure the dizzy has been recurved to pre-smog specs? 68-70s were timed at 0* not 16*. Moreover, if the idle is much above
