- My guess is it is running too lean, you should not need to use a choke, especially in Phoenix! Most of the people I know with properly set carbs do not use the choke at all, many disconnect it. Mark

- Dan, I agree, he said he had to use the choke for it to run, therefore it is set lean. I think if the carbs are set right you should not need a choke at all in the summer months
