This is the 'Thermal Demodulator'. It's function was to kick the advance up when the engine temp got too high. The advance was set at 0 degrees with a weird advance curve on the distributor for smog

One problem with my Roadster; the gas sours during storage. Even during the driving season it will sit long enough to have problems. I don't much care for stabilizers as they tend to gum things up. T
