The stock downdraught intake manifold opens into a common chamber, but i can't imagine that would be the case for a DCOE manifold, that would put the carb well into the wheel well of a 411 ;-) Here's

Maybe i'm used to it, or maybe it's the huge stock steering wheel, but I don't think my roadster takes too much efffort even while still. It wouldn't hurt to check the oil level in the steering box,
