Mine resides in a '77 Morgan Plus Eight which was equipped with the SD1 & Rover 5-speed box (bit of a clunker!). Standard output was 155hp (DIN) @ 5250 rpm & 195lbs/ft of torque @ 2500 rpm complete w

It most certainly will! My '77 Morgan Plus 8 uses the SDI Rover engine and has about 195hp @ 5300rpm with 225 ft lbs torque @ 2750 rpm and that translates to 1-1/2 seconds off the 0-60 time (5.3 secs

Not to argue with you, as I have no opinion British vs French carbs, butyour Morgan has more compression, better cam than a stock TR8. The air cleaners & other things help, the Strombergs may be bet
