I have had to replace some of my body molding. I went to a local shop that supplies paint & molding to body shops. They had some very close but not an exact match......it was about 1/8 inch narrower.

Back in 1983, I used a 3M structural adhesive called 2216-BA (gray) which is an epoxy (mix parts A & B), apply and clamp for 24 hrs. Not one spot (which were mostly on the door skins) has let loose.
