what i found with shocks was that each brand has a set of people that say "this brand is the best and all the others suck" i wasnt able to find any real definite differences except between mono tube

id vote against the cat back and brake pads for autox. you dont gain much power from just a cat back (although you can lose some weight) and they can be noisy and expensive. you dont get your brakes

im skeptical of any magazine test results. the alignment settings on a stock class car can create big differences in autox speed, and who knows what the factories did to the cars before sending them
